Firstly, thank you to the publishers for my early review copy.
Small hotel, cut off by snow…..someone dies….murder or accident?
As you delve into the characters lives many could be responsible… so it was a good old fashioned ‘whodunit’… very reminiscent of Agatha Christie.
Certainly keeps you guessing!

An Unwanted Guest was one of my favourite reads of the year. I read it in just a few sittings and loved the setting of a cozy, snowed in B&B somehwere in New England, especially at this time of year. It’s not overly violent but doesn’t lack action in any way. The characters have such interesting backgrounds and there are huge revelations about each of them in virtually every chapter so you’ll never guess how the book ends.

Having read and enjoyed Shari’s previous 2 books, I bought this as soon as it was released in paperback. An Unwanted Guest I thought was similar in storyline to The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley, it draws you in and keeps you hooked until the very end.
The hotel, at first, sounds like an idyllic place to spend a long cosy weekend, however, you soon become glad you aren’t one of the guests. Easy to read, well written, and enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. Highly recommend.
