THIS BOOK SHOULD CARRY A HEALTH WARNING!
Firstly, thank you for the early review copy, I know you told me it was great, but well I do hear that a lot…
So about the health warning… the tension was immense I felt like I held my breath for the entire book!
This is a DEBUT, once you have read this you will understand how amazing this is and you tell me it’s a debut – this is going to stand proud next year as I predict one of the best thrillers across all the publishers!
So a few things, firstly yes please come and meet us at Waterstones Durham in February and secondly, if you love a great crime / thriller then get this on your radar!

Firstly a big thanks to Fiona and Wilfire Books for getting me a proof copy. I really enjoyed Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce. It was an unusual legal thriller and I hadn’t read anything like it before. The main charcater Alison is very well developed character and the tension between her and her husband throughout made me as interested in their story as in the case that Alison is working on. I loved the little legal insights throughout. It was great to meet Harriet at Waterstones too and I look forward to the next one. Highly recommended!

Fiona had been talking about this book on Twitter when she had read her proof copy, it immediately became my 2nd must read book of 2019. Harriet was doing an event at Durham, so i went along, got my copy and then dived straight in.
This book is Harriet’s debut and it’s really hard to believe. Alison is a great character, someone who you really want to come out of the book well. Blood Orange is one of those books that you look forward to reading, and then when you have read it, you can’t stop thinking about it. A 5 star read from me, and although it’s March, i fully expect this book to stay in my top five all year.
