Many people recommended this book to me so I started it with exceedingly high expectations…
However, when I started to read it I struggled with it, two false starts in fact on both occasions I gave up…
Now I was fully aware at the time that no one else had struggled with it – in fact everybody else was constantly telling me how great this was.
My conclusion at the time, park it and try again.
So my third attempt was today – during lockdown – very little to distract me and I was full of determination to crack this book and find out why everyone was raving about it.. I can now report I finished this book…. Once I had passed about 150 pages I flew through it!
Good characters, good plot, and yes I would now happily recommend it!
Still no idea why I struggled with the start of the book – I remain the only person I know who did.
