My words of advice are don’t read this book, unless you have first read book 16 – The Shrine.
I definitely suggest you start with the first book in the series which is Holy Island if at all possible, but if that’s not for you at least please read 16 The Shrine before this one.
So having read these books in order from Holy Island onwards you build up a real love of the characters, which make these books a pleasure to read.
Good pace and tension in Cuthbert’s Way and loved the development of the characters especially Ryan’s parents.
Certainly happy to recommend this series on to others, good NE crime thrillers.
