Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy, very much looking forward to meeting Abir again in Waterstones Durham (10am 23 Nov 2019).
This series just goes from strength to strength, the first and third were thrillers of the month for Waterstones, the second was a Zoe Ball book group pick in 2018.
The fourth – Death in the East – is possibly his best yet (but don’t tell him please)!
I definitely suggest you read them in order, whilst each story is self contained the main characters develop as the series progresses and I therefore believe you get the best experience of his writing if you read in order, so please start with A Rising Man.
Love the main characters so much, the plot always keeps you on your toes and there is a sprinkling of humour too.
Definitely recommended (which is just as well as he has been known to send his friends into our store)!!
