Having previously read and loved Rob’s Ben Bracken thrillers to date (a wanted man / morte point / the penny black / till morning is nigh) it was obvious I would be keen to read the first in his new trilogy. I had seen so many great crime authors raving about it on twitter so I started this book off with exceedingly high expectations…

My verdict: Excellent, definitely deserves the 5 stars! Fantastic tension and pace throughout! Great new characters too.

Thoughts: Exactly how long am I expected to wait to get my hands on book 2 and 3?

Even as you turn the last page the level of tension is so high and I have so many ideas about where he will take book 2 (and 3) so I am now full of anticipation!
