Thank you to the publishers for this review copy, I happily devoured it in one sitting on the train to London last week.
I do have a general interest in Korea (South & North) so I was very keen to read this. This is set in 1954 after the Korean War.
For me it was a snap shot look at the ordinary and the glamorous lives of the time. Neither are what you first expect or are led to believe.
They are similar and different lives but each with their own struggles, their own grief and they all need to find a way forward.
Certainly a great read which I think will also spark your interest to read something else set in the same time period and location.
