As soon as the women’s prize long list for 2019 was announced I knew this book would have to be read!
Loved the cover, loved the idea of it… So thank you to the publishers who were kind enough to send me a review copy.
I received this copy on Friday and it went straight to the top of the pile. (A very large TBR pile)
Excellent characters, such a powerful and very well told novel – I am already checking out other books by Bernice – so why has no one mentioned her to me.
Goes without saying I really hope this makes the short list at the end of April – good luck!
