This book won the COSTA children’s award in January 2017, I had also previously been drawn to the hardback cover so the COSTA win cemented the purchase for me. (Although not very keen on the paperback cover).
Very enjoyable book centred around friendships and trust in difficult times, happy to recommend to adults and teens.
Given all the migration issues and fighting in the world at the moment this is definitely a topical read.
