I did enjoy the read, for a debut I think this book is very good and I will certainly continue to watch this author with interest.
Enjoyed the plot and the characters, but sadly I just didn’t get the require tension to stop me putting this book down.
I am in the minority – so do please read it and enjoy it!
The Chalk Man is a very noir murder mystery. It has a Stephen King flavour to it which isn’t usually my thing but I enjoyed the cliffhangers at the end of each chapter which keept me coming back. There is a very creepy/tension filled atmosphere throughout. Looking forward to trying The Taking of Annie Thorne!
