This is my first Dan Smith book and it wont be my last.
Started reading Saturday afternoon couldn’t sleep on Sunday night until I had finished it. Fantastic!

I’m so glad I eventually got round to reading Fiona’s recommendation of The Child Thief by Dan Smith. The characters are fantastic and the contant tension and sense of terror/dread comes through really well in the writing. I also enjoyed the way Dan got a lot of history in along the way and I learned a lot about the history/brutality of the Soviet occupation of Ukraine. This is one of my favourite books of the year and would highly recommend to anyone who likes crime or historical fiction!
