Thank you to the publishers for this review copy, reviewed by my daughter Natalya.

This book tells a devastating story about the Cuban Revolution and it’s effects on the children and families fleeing the country. It shows how emotional trauma can cause people to change and become something that they aren’t. Mathieu has created a novel that addresses a multitude of issues from drugs to domestic abuse to lies and their impact on life. The most notable in this book is the impact of lies and how it can truly tear people and families apart. Overall, it was a great, quick read, which educated and entertained. Would recommend to teenagers and adults.
