I had the pleasure of meeting Gulwali in October, 2017 at Durham Book Festival.
I started his book the same day but then knowing that parts of this could be upsetting I parked the book to one side to continue at a later date.
So this review is long overdue but I only had the courage to finish the book this month.
This book is heart breaking, worrying and sadly accurate for many people who find themselves in this situation and have done over a number of years.
Many don’t survive but still it continues.
Others like Gulwali do survive and go on to thrive with the help and support of others.
I simply urge you to read this!
