Well it started with a brilliant cover that I just fell in love with…
But I resisted buying for quite a while and it just constantly stared at me on the bookshop shelf, I knew I would buy the hardback… there was no alternative solution, I’d fallen badly for the cover.
Then the book was long listed for the international booker prize, so that sealed the deal, the book (with the fabulous cover) was purchased.
This is a beautiful book, full of warmth and love whilst also being very dystopian, truly excellent writing! I feel sure this should be at least short listed for the prize.
Certainly recommending to all.
