Well I do like to try and read all the Women’s longlist – so as this features on the 2022 list I just had to read it.
This is set over one year November 2019 to November 2020, it is both light hearted and serious but always compassionate.
It is set in a bookshop with a rather quirky ghost which just makes you smile. I loved the book recommendations throughout the story and of course the summary lists at the end. It was fun to see which ones I had read. It does however also cover the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the bookshop has to adapt and sadly one of the characters contracts covid-19.
This is brilliantly written and an absolute pleasure to read.
Very happy to recommend on to others, I fully expect this will make the shortlist.
