This novel has real depth, I was happy to sit and sip away at it. At no point did I want to race through it. I suggest you treat it like a good wine and enjoy the fantastic writing!
The characters are superb and they will absolutely capture heart, I didn’t have a favourite – I loved so many of them.
It depicts the place and the times with such tension that you feel the pressure within the community.
It captures your heart, it breaks your heart, it reminds you of the power of love in all it’s disguises.
I’ll happily read whatever Louise writes next, in fact I’ll be at the front of the queue!
Totally recommended to all lovers of great fiction.
