First thank you to the lovely Jo Dann for this gift, I would never have picked this book up myself.

This is a unique style of novel. Never before have I read a book that is part historical fiction and part correspondence from a current time frame character to the historical character.

Really enjoyed the correspondence part which was funny and engaging. Although perhaps seeing how some things have changed so very little maybe frustrating to analyse.

I would love to read another novel in the same style by this author but sadly this will not be possible.
