So this entered my radar when it was longlisted for The International Booker 2025 – but then it wasn’t shortlisted and I confess I had forgotten about it.
Now it fell into my hands on Saturday and I read it in one sitting on Sunday evening – couldn’t put it down read until past midnight to ensure I finished it.
So my verdict, it started odd and I thought perhaps it was not for me, then I started laughing..
I loved the relationship between the vodka sipping mother and the son.
A very different but excellent read.
