Forbidden Waters is book 2 in the Cam Killick series, I would strongly advise you to read book 1 first – The Troubled Deep.
Book 2 does work as a standalone as the crime is unrelated to book 1, however I think to understand Cam a little better book 1 is essential.
Forbidden Water has a good steady pace, and interesting plot following the knife find.
Really loved the ending and I didn’t see it coming, so very full of emotion.
Happy to recommend both in this series so far and very interested to get my hands on book 3 as soon as possible.
