In Service of Death is the 17th book in the DCI Jack Logan series and it is one of the best ones to date.
I was absolutely gripped by the crime plot but yes it did also have me laughing out loud on a frequent basis.
Great characters.
Happy to recommend but you really must read in order – so start with A Litter of Bones.
