Douglas Stuart is a superb author so obviously I started this novel with the highest of expectations.
His previous books Shuggie Bain and Young Mungo had both stolen pieces of my heart already could John of John do the same?
John of John is a magnificent read! I really doubt any review can do this book justice.
A tiny island, many wonderful characters who each need your love as you read.
Multi layered plot, breaking your heart, filling you with joy but all the time you are wondering what does Douglas have in store for these characters… well there is obviously only one way to find out.
Strongly advise a pre order of this book you will certainly not regret it!
Absolutely brilliant read!
