I was firmly sat on the fence when the publication date was approaching.
Was this something I wanted to read?
Surely the content would just be too horrific and upsetting? Perhaps I wouldn’t read it I thought?
But this person was calling it out and some of the people who have been involved are rich and powerful and not yet brought to justice. So I should read it, people should not hide from this reality, and those involved should be brought to justice.

Yesterday, publication day, I bought the book and I read it last night and today.
There are some despicable people in the world and sadly they do horrific things to others for their own enjoyment.
You have to be so very brave to call it out because it was never going to be easy for you or anyone around you.
Some of these people are rich and powerful and can perhaps hide from the consequences.

But some people are family and that really got to me.

This is quite the read but I believe an important read.

My review can’t do this book justice but perhaps other people who read it can express the importance of it so much better than I can.
