This is a gentle, thought provoking and gorgeous debut from Emanuela.
Emanuela is certainly a very talented author and her writing very much reminded me of that of Elena Ferrante – author of My Brilliant Friend.
The novel explores family, grief and what we call home, it is a novel that shouldn’t be rushed but just sipped like a lovely wine.
I will certainly be watching out for future novels from Emanuela and I hope this book finds many readers to appreciate it.
