I was delighted to receive The Christmas Tree Killer in the post yesterday and read it straight away.
This is book 2 in the series but just in case you haven’t yet read The Killer’s Christmas List I’m pleased to report it works well as a standalone read too.
Chris Frost if you didn’t know is also Chris McDonald – so perhaps you’ve read some previous books by him – if not – then why not also try A Wash of Black.
So back to The Christmas Tree Killer, it’s set on the run up to Christmas the time when people might start gifting beautifully wrapped presents… well it seems so do murderers!
The book is partly set in Durham and there might even be a mention of a certain bookshop (But please note the character did not step in to buy books – disappointing).
We hope to tempt him in during book 3 plot.
The pace is excellent and ensured that with the exception of eating I read this in one sitting.
Loved the plotting, yes I kind of nearly guessed it..
Great characters and very much hoping that book 3 is out in time for Christmas 2026!
Very happy to recommend this festive treat!
