Partly set in Newcastle and the surrounding area and partly set in Spain over approximately 30 years.
As a Newcastle girl I obviously read it straight away.
Brilliant characters and writing style throughout.
Totally set the time & place well for Newcastle, you really felt like you were in amongst it when reading.
The family relationships were portrayed really well, you could feel the violence that surrounded them.
But I had to really pay attention as we moved locations and time frames.
Happy to recommend and look forward to reading future novels from Neil.
