Tom Palmer is an excellent author and mostly writes in the 9 to 12 year space currently.
His war time books are especially recommended.
War Dog is Tom’s debut picture book.
It is based on a true story of Judy the dog who was officially recorded as a prison of war.
It tells the story of Judy and the soldiers she was captured with.
It is a brilliant book to explore with young children.
Also I must mention the illustrations are fabulous.
