Genius! Roth is a genius.
A thrilling action packed must read! You pick this book up and you won’t be able to put it down again its so good!
After the second book, I thought this can’t get any better. Roth can’t top that! But contrary to belief she did just that only she raised the bar!
Best book of the trilogy made me want to pick up divergent and start reading them again!
The story is told from the perspective of both Tris and Tobias. This enables us to see beneath the veneer of the legendary, invincible, dauntless Four. who is thrown in turmoil when he discovers that his mother is alive. Tris is the opposite of Tobias, her veneer is Beatrice, small, inconspicuous and nervous but beneath Tris is invincible, controlled and confident.
I enjoyed this book. I like how their development as individuals and as a couple are explored. The ending was unexpected but sound in my opinion. I think it took a certain amount of bravery on the author’s part but I doubt the movie makers will like it. Holes could probably be picked in the damaged genetic storyline and the lack of answers in the Bureaus interference with the factions but there was an element of plausibility to it all which did not divert my attention from the characters and their development. I look forward to seeing a new set of characters and imaginings from Veronica Roth.
