Wow! This book was amazing, gripping, thrilling and heart pounding.
I was gripped from the front cover to back cover. I loved it. It was so exciting, I wanted to stay up all night reading the book trying to reach the final page.
A note for everyone, READ IT!
Unfortunately this book is not as as good as divergent. The ‘main’ story goes on the back burner for most of the book and Tris spends far too much time analysing her relationship with four and bickering with him. When she’s not bickering with Four, she’s going on about killing her friend; William and refusing to touch a gun. This should all be great character development but it shouldn’t overshadow the story.
As to the ending, it’s just flat, was that it? Is that the big secret? At the end characters are flipping from ‘good’ to ‘bad’, ‘bad’ to ‘good’ that everything becomes rather disorientating, instead of taking the time to develop all these characters, take us on a journey, feel betrayal, relief or shock we’ve left with a feeling of utter disbelief and I’m afraid that is a failure of the author.
