An interesting memoir charting a young girls life in Albania. Albania is very much under communist rule as the book starts and we see the changes the girl’s family witnesses.
At times you can feel how terrifying it must have been for the family. You get an overview of the changes the country went through in this time period.
A good eye opener of a book, with the odd touch of humour too.
