Booker Longlisted 2023

Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy. I knew straight away this was going to appeal to me but I admit like too many other books it had hung around in the towering to be read piles for a while but then the booker longlist was announced so it was immediately rescued.
This is a superb read which I would simply love to see short listed!
This book is an emotional and very powerful read. The sad reality is that you could imagine the situation happening to you, to people you know. You read the news this isn’t a big leap.
It very much asks to what extent would you go to save your family? How many risks would you take? How much danger would you be prepared to face?
Absolutely recommended and let’s be honest I am now waiting for Paul’s next book to arrive in my hands!
