I fell in love with the cover of this when it came out in hardback but sadly I missed out on the beautiful sprayed edge copy so I waited… just in case one magically turned up – it didn’t.
But then late last year an early paperback copy fell into my hands…
I’ve heard and seen mixed reviews about this book so I started it with no expectations. I think it is a solid 4 star read.
The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars was because for me personally I wanted a touch more pace and tension.
It is a good slow build of a plot, you know something is going to happen, but the specifics will keep you guessing, then when they start to happen… you are still guessing right until the very end. Would certainly be interested in seeing what Katy writes next.
