I made no secret of how much I loved ‘nothing but blue sky’ by Kathleen MacMahon which I read when it was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for fiction – so before I go any further if you haven’t read it – do – simply do it’s a magnificent read!

I must thank Kathleen personally for this early review copy of her next novel ‘The Home Scar’. I believe Kathleen’s writing is exquisite, and goodness I would probably enjoy anything she wrote I find I can just sit and slowly sip her words for hours. This novel looks at family love, sibling love, your memories of your childhood and returning to the place you called home. It is a gorgeous read that I am more than happy to recommend to everyone.
