Thank you to the publishers for this review copy… it arrived yesterday while I was out at work but we all know that no one leaves Emma Carroll sitting on the to be read pile – so this was promptly read last night before lights out! Well honestly, did anyone expect that a book written by Emma and illustrated so beautifully by Lauren Child was going to hang around quietly waiting for me – I think not – so obviously I had to ‘strike’ straight away!.
This is a brilliant story, you’ll recognise Emma’s voice immediately – just superb. Heart breaking but it will also get you ‘fired up’.
However, I think the saddest part was that it made me consider just how much things could be related to this ‘yesterday’ story in today’s world.
Absolutely and completely recommended to ALL!
