Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy. This, in my opinion, is a very accomplished debut.
Based on historical events, this is very much about love, marriage, partnerships and what is and isn’t permitted in Victorian times.
It features the arrest and trial of Oscar Wilde. It looks at what books were permitted to be published at the time.
It features two marriages, were these marriages what people expected at the time or was there other partners within the marriage. Would these additional partners stay hidden, what is the cost if they were exposed? A brilliant read which I am happy to recommend and would very much like to see what Tom writes next.
