Having visited Rome for the first time in November 2022 I felt myself wondering what it was like before Covid and during the lockdowns. Every corner I turned, every historic site we visited was wonderful but always for some reason I couldn’t shake the thought – what was this city like during and before the covid lockdowns…
We may have also visited many bookshops and this book was on display in nearly all of them so I obviously had to secure a copy and read it.
It satisfied my curiosity . It gave me an indication of life before and during but it also gave me a little more history. Even though it didn’t cover the happiest time period for many it did ensure my love of Rome was reignited. Very happy to recommend.
