Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy, I was rather keen to read this having previously enjoyed Martin’s teen / YA read Payback.
The Second Stranger is set in the Scottish Highlands, we have a storm and an RTA involving police and prisoner.
The tension mounts as the policeman arrives at the hotel telling us a prisoner has escaped, then another policeman arrives with the same name… who is the real policeman and who can be trusted? A good debut crime thriller which I think will make a great movie. So obviously read the book first.
This could possibly be the start of a new series? If it is I will obviously be very keen to see what Martin does with book 2.
