This is a brilliant book that I had owned for quite a while before I plucked up the courage to read it.
I had been warned that it wouldn’t be an easy read and could reduce me to tears.
So having picked it up previously and read around 50 pages I knew this was a book I needed to dedicate the time to and didn’t want to read it in between the usual life tasks. So as we are now in lockdown in the UK it seemed a good time to immerse myself in this book.
My verdict is that it is brilliantly written, a very powerful book and a subject matter that I actually knew very little about. In many ways completely heart breaking.
I would happily recommend this on to others, whilst ensuring they know it’s not something I would take on holiday…
