I admit that I was surprised to see it longlisted for the Women’s Non Fiction prize 2025 and I didn’t have high expectations for it.

I loved the account of her life, her family, the highs and lows. So many schools, home, countries – such a well travelled life.
The books she was reading at the time, a brilliant snap shot. Many of course are now modern classics really.
A reminder of the music I’ve previously listened to, I popped some 80’s & 90’s tracks on while reading.

So much suffering. Drugs issues too.
Fabulous read!
