Whilst each one so far has been a contained crime you get so much more from the main characters if you read these in order so I strongly suggest you do.
First in this series is A Litter of Bones.
The main characters are hilarious and can certainly cheer you up with each new instalment.
Each crime will also keep you guessing and the plot and pace of all books so far as been good.
A series I am happy to recommend and will continue to read.
