Tom is an excellent children’s author, so it is always a joy for his books to arrive.
His historical novels are always well researched and completely gripping this one is brilliant.
It is set in Cumbria in 1940, we are at war with Germany. Life on the hills isn’t easy.
This book explores the life for the local community during this time and also looks at the life of a soldier who has experienced a very traumatic event.
Very happy to recommend this and all his other books.
