Thank you to the author and publisher for arranging this early review copy for me. I had heard good things about this guys writing from some of our other northern crime writers… but I didn’t know enough to have any expectations before reading it.
So my thoughts, this book is incredibly well researched and I had no idea about this island and it’s previous use so I was immediately interested to find out more.
This book hooks you in easily, writing is excellent, I read around 100 pages before I put it down for a cup of tea. The tension keeps you on your toes all the way through. Who on earth can your trust? Who is after him and why? How far will they really go? I was still reading at 11.50pm last night as I just had to reach the end before I could sleep.
This is hopefully going to be a new series, so I will be requiring an early copy of book 2 please.
This guy can definitely write a good thriller! This is a superb debut, I’ve given it a solid 4 stars, I completely expect his second book to smash the 5 stars out of the park and give other great thriller writes some competition!
Most definitely recommended to all thriller readers, you need to start reading this guy! So a pre order is highly recommended.
