I had the pleasure of meeting Sue Cheung when she popped in unexpectedly to Waterstones Durham to sign our stock.
So I obviously bought myself a signed copy, Sue was a lovely lady to meet so I really wanted this book to be fab.
It is a diary format based on her own life growing up in the 1980’s as part of a Chinese family in England. Good cover and illustrations too.
A very interested read, funny, heart warming, heart breaking and given that she is approximately the same age as me it also contains content that thankfully I didn’t need to even consider at that age let alone experience.
A good read, very happy to recommend on to others.
