I knew straight away from the first few pages that this was going to be brilliant!
The writing is gorgeous, you take the main character straight to your heart hoping that he can keep himself above water in so many ways.
You love his family and you worry for what is round the next corner for them.
I will be happily recommending this to everyone but especially to fans of Douglas Stuart’s Shuggie Bain or Louise Kennedy’s Trespasses.
This book is certainly going to appear in the best seller lists and what ever Michael writes next I will absolutely be needing a copy.
Fantastic read!
