As a children’s book this could be a real eye opener to many. I certainly recommend to schools, parents and of course children.
Beautifully written and illustrated this tells the story of Floella and her family’s move to England.
You learn how this move affected her and her family. It describes both the struggle and the resolve to achieve the success that her family have had in England where they were not always welcome.
You can certainly hear echos of events today as you read.
