Once again a book has only appeared on my radar because of the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
This is a great debut read.
Gloria is an excellent character, the story will steal your heart.
At times you worry for Gloria, at other times you know people are looking out for her.
But she is facing a world where not everyone will always be kind to her.
A powerful story of how being different isn’t always easy to navigate.
Totally recommend and very much looking forward to seeing what Lucy writes next.
