Tom is a brilliant children’s author so his books certainly don’t wait around in my to be read towers.
If the Invader Comes is book 1 in a brand new series from him and it is a fantastic read, can’t wait to see what the rest of the series brings us.
There are many moments in this book when your heart will be in your mouth wondering if the characters will make it?
All the characters, young and old, are wonderful and you will easily find yourself transported amongst them and firmly placed on the edge of your seat.
In War time you don’t and can’t always know what people are doing. people make assumptions of who is avoiding their duties or who might be a traitor for example, but people are not always right in their assumptions.
Absolutely recommended.
