Having previously read ‘If nobody speaks of remarkable things’ and ‘Reservoir 13’ I knew I was in for a good read.
This is an absolutely superb read and certainly surpassed my expectations.
Beautifully written, tense, atmospheric, worrying, I don’t like to give spoilers but I was so engrossed in the novel that when the main character uttered a certain very short word I could have wept, I could not have been more delighted.
Everyone truly needs to read this!
You will by default replace the main character with yourself or your loved one(s) at certain points in the book.
A very powerful novel, completely recommended.
(I will now be checking out the gaps in my Jon McGregor books)
