So having read and loved An American Marriage, Silver Sparrow and The Untelling by Tayari Jones I obviously had to also grab hold of a copy of her debut – Leaving Atlanta.
I really do love Tayari’s writing and will very happily recommend all four of these books to all. This one really gives you a feeling of what it is like as a child, the fears you have, the worries you have and perhaps also how people around you behave. Filled with such emotion, a wonderful read.
However, still my favourite remains An American Marriage, such a fantastic book!
