Thank you to the publisher for this review copy, I am very pleased to report that I LOVED IT!
Now I had previously read one of Chibundu’s adult books so I knew they were a brilliant author.
This is book 1 of a new children’s trilogy, if book 2 & 3 had been waiting in my to be read piles I would have gone straight to them after reading it – so I live in hope of these landing with me soon – PLEASE.
Now jumping on books is not usually something I would recommend, but it appears that for excellent reasons this is something Mayowa does – no spoilers so I am telling you nothing more.
I happened to read this yesterday on the day of the General Election – which was timely and a complete coincidence.
I am very happy to recommend this book to all age 7 to 177… we could all benefit from reading it.
Also loved the footnotes.
