Well I have bought this book many times for gifts, but this is the first time I have managed to secure a copy for myself.
I had expected this to be a great story, WW2 Germany, but what I hadn’t expected was that it would turn out to me my favourite of Dan’s children’s novels.
So if by any chance you haven’t read any of his books before then I can happily recommend them all.
They all have great tension and pace, and will all ensure you don’t want to stop reading until the very end.
